Shock Wave crash

Shock Wave crashes alot. When we skip the reload or click the "X" the web page works fine after that.
Then why was Shock Wave needed to begin with and what to do to get rid of multiple crashes?

Hotmail and Outlook e-mail. One other website today. No problems for many days and then it's bad for a day.

It never crashes when using Youtube which seems curious. Isn't it used by Youtube?

Not to my knowledge, and I use YouTube almost every day. I imagine a website recommended you to install Shock Wave player? Which site? Why not try uninstalling the Shock Wave player and see if that improves your browsing?

The 2nd one was a site called city data. The other is Ebay.

What happens when you disable/uninstall Shock Wave and visit ebay?

ASKER

It did not happen on Ebay last week. It did not do it today on Hotmail.

I was waiting for a list of sites so I did not remove Shock Wave.

It is now removed and I'll try various sites over many days.
