Windows server 2008 domain controller cannot ping workstation within network

Hello, I have been having some slow network connections lately.  I have discovered I can ping the server from a workstation (windows 7 professional) (windows server 2008 R2), but cannot ping any workstations from the domain controller.  I also cannot connect through a unc path from the server.  Help!

Post the results of IPCONFIG /ALL from the workstation and the server.

90% of problems like this are misconfigured DNS.  (80% of statistics are made up - but despite that, the MAJORITY *ARE* misconfigured DNS).
If you cannot ping any workstations from the domain controller it may be that your domain controller's outbound firewall is set to block outgoing ICMP packets. Check that first. You can do a real quick check and turn it off and try. If you can ping turn it back on then look for the rule and turn it off. Or just look for the rule first. If that doesn't work run dcdiag /v /c /d /e /s:(your dc hostname) > c:\dcdiag.txt and check for errors.

Also you can try ipconfig /flushdns + ipconfig /registerdns then dcdiag /fix also dcdiag /test:dns

Please post back any errors
