110V Lasko bladeless fan blows with a burning smell
I got fr Amazon the Lasko bladeless fan & it was working for 1 week on my local
220V to 110V 100W converter in my UK power point: just that after 30 mins or so,
the converter would cut off & feel rather hot. After a few mins rest, it wud work again

I thought the 100W converter cant support high enough wattage, so I got the above
from eBay which supports 1800+ Watt : the contact point of the Lasko power plug's
pins to the converter is not that good though the Lasko runs with a much stronger
wind (& noise too) but after a minute or so, I heard a pop sound with a burning
smell : the Lasko doesn't work anymore even if I go back to my local converter.
Is this just a fuse that I could replace to get the Lasko fixed or likely some major
electronic component is now burnt?

But my local converter which allows only 100W has worked well so far, only that after
30mins or so, it will not allow it to continue & after a rest of about 30mins, it will allow
the fan to work again.
But with this eBay converter of 1800W, looks like too much power went into the fan.
Guess I'll only salvage the filter of the 'burnt' fan
