Create ISO image from Microsoft Windows 10 USB stick
I have just purchased Microsoft windows 10 Pro on a USB stick from Microsoft with the intent of installing it on a VMware workstation machine (blank disk with no operating system). It appears that VMware workstation 12.5.2 will only install operating systems from a CD/DVD or an ISO image as the Host USB disk is not recognised by VMware. How can I make an ISO image from the Microsoft USB stick ? I have Nero burning ROM 2016 but as the name suggests, it only burns ROMs and doesn't seem able to create an ISO disk image from a bootable USB disk.

simply download the original ISO image from MS and use your existing, valid product key.
be aware that normally the key can be only activated on one machine whatever it is a VM or a physical computer. if you just want to test, don't activate it and try it for free for 30 days.

I used the Microsoft media creation link to download the ISO image from Microsoft and used the serial number supplied with the USB stick.
