exchange online barefeed

We have a colocation facility hosting multiple sites that sends SMS and email notifications to customers via an internal SMTP relay pointing to an Office 365 Exchange Online account.  Emails seem to work fine but SMS notifications have recently stopped working with error:

550 5.6.11 SMTPSEND.BareLinefeedsAreIllegal; message contains bare linefeeds, which cannot be sent via DATA and receiving system does not support BDAT

I have been trying to get O365 support to tell me how to allow for bareline feeds in Exchange Online. I know you could do it in Server on preimise.

Has anyone seen or have a solution for this?

I am sending automated alerts to external customers and to internal employees. How would i configure this on my exchange online end then to start to get the alerts to my own staff.

I have applied a disclaimer to all email since our company did not have anything before, and am testing. It seems that the application was able send out an SMS to verizon via text after adding the disclaimer. I will follow up tomorrow if it is consistently working.
Leigh Kalbli can you say if you created an html disclaimer? If so do you have an example?

We have the same problem and the only thing I can try is the work arround. The e-mail that is send is also a HTML e-mail but got bounced back with the same error. So I hope this disclaimer solution works.

Creating the disclaimer worked for me.

One additional note. I have found no solution is the disclaimer is appened at the bottom of the email up against the last line of text. It makes it hard for readers to differentiate and looks unprofessional.
