Changing ESXi Path Selection Policy implications and caveats ?
People,
I'd like to know what will be the implication of changing the Path Selection Policy mode from MostRecentlyUsed into RoundRobin in regards to the current production VMs traffic & availability ?
My current Shared Storage best practice mentions that I need to use RR instead of MRU, but what will be the impact if I change the value in one ESXi using manual or scripted ?
Do I need to put the host into maintenance mode first or can I do the whole ESXi servers in production in one go with Powershell script without cauisng any outage or VM disruptions ?

Thanks Andrew !
A real test, is also check there is no VM outage, when you change over, which means, cannot be in Maintenance Mode!
Should have been done before Production!

I will be putting it into maintenance mode and then run the script to change it into Round Robin mode at one go.
Yes, PureStorage suggest for Round Robin (all paths Active).
