create SRP/Applocker rules in GPO on DC
Hi Folks!
This is surely a stupid question, but I want to create restrictions/exception for applications on my 2008 R2 Std domain controller for all my workstations. I see how this is done, but my problem is that it appears to me I have to have the programs installed on the domain controller in order to browse to the correct path/folder/publisher/etc. Is this accurate? Or is there a way to create rules for applications that are not installed on the DC? Thanks!

All your steps are fine except you do not install software on DC. You can just UNC browse to binary or temporary copy it to DC

Thanks Shaun, but I am not sure what you mean by browse to binary. So I would just put \\workstationA\C$\etc in the address to the location in and file in question and then what? And can you give me an example about the temporary copy method?
