Upgrade vcenter server 5.5.0 build 2001466

upgrading vcenter server on windows 2008 r2 64 bit.  What is the upgrade path to 6.0 and possibly to 6.5.  Do you know link for specific directions for this upgrade?

We are also using Veeam 9.5 and Nimble storage v2.3.  what are the possible issues?

Will I have to do anything with the storage?

Hi barl009,

What is the upgrade path to 6.0 and possibly to 6.5.
What current version do you have?

Here some things to consider when going to 6.5: https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=2147289&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_KB_1_1&dialogID=346125906&stateId=0%200%20346149010

Veeam 9.5 officially supports vCenter/vShpere 6.0-4.x.

Regarding compatibility with Nimble I need to know what Nimble model(s) you have. Off the bat 6.0 is officially supported, while 6.5 has yet to be.

Let me know. Thanks!

Yes, we are on the standard edition of VMware, and yes I am looking at the appliance, problems that I foresee are the move to the posgress SQL data base and the relation ship of the Nimble storage to the upgrade.   So I am thinking that there is no reason to move to the 6.5 at this point as they are both supported equally through 2020.  I am looking for the path of least resistance....
Vendors, will start ensuring their hardware is compatible with 6,5 2017 Q1!

Are you meaning hardware going forward.  Thought that was not an issue.  or do you mean the machine hardware level?
