PDFMate free PDF Merger. Security concern
Dear All,
I'd like to ask if someone has an experience with the software. Employees in my organization asking to use the software, but I have a concern regarding security issues. It there any 3rd party that can verify that the software doesn't contain malicious code?
Thank you in advance

Thank you for the answer. In my case, there are many employees demand the solution and when it comes to expenses and approvals the free software is preferable from the cost point of view. Now I'm looking for decent method to validate that the software is safe to use
Free doesn't imply better, but I know you understand that. What exactly is your security concern, or was it more from an in general standpoint? Nobody is going to be able to valid the code per se, but with a VM, you can install it, then check to see what other software installs. And also, you can check to see what sites get connected to during installation and while the software is running. They claim to be ad and spyware free, but better to verify like you're saying.
Also what type of organization is this?

Thank for the additional comment. Even if the installation on VM will go smooth no one can assure the software doesn't run malicious code and sends your documents or any other amassed information outside. Can you suggest any well-known method of tracking application's activity that can proof that there is no malicious activity?

Another approach you could take is to create a temporary VM and install it there, then observe its behavior.
