Exchange: Unable to mount datase missing log files. Events 9518 and 455

Good Morning Amazing Community,

Five years ago I was in a jam and you helped me tremendously.
I am hopeful that you can help again.

Yesterday our E00.log was mistakenly deleted and our efforts to recover that file has not been successful.

The database is currently in a clean shutdown state.
I do have a log file that was generated right before the database was last mounted.

What do you recommend?

We are in preparation to migrate to a new server within the next few months.
Please note the current location of the mailbox database has less than 20 GB of space so some procedures may not be possible with its current location.

Thank you so much for your help and assistance in advance.

Merry Christmas

Thank you I will give this a try and report back
Thank you Marine,

That seems to have solved the problem. There are still a few things that are not working right, but I have lost remote access and will need to go into the office to see exactly what is happening.
Please keep us posted if you need further assistance.

Thanks a lot for update.
Marine,

You were correct! That was the solution to be able to mount our mailbox database. The new log files were automatically recreated once I had removed the log files.

For future readers: Please note that this is a 2007 exchange server and that our mailbox database was already in a 'clean shutdown' state.

Thank you again and have a Merry Christmas.
Glad the server is up and running :)

Wish you * Merry Christmas *
