Win 10 HP lost local password ASUS UX32A

One of my customers have lost her password to her ASUS UX32a Notebookl.

I ususally use Acronix Spower password reset program on a CD to reset local password.

The issue here is that I can not get the UX32 to boot from the external CD. I get into the BIOS (Tricky in itself) and set the fast boot option to disabled.

Thereafter I press F10 to save and restart and immediately press and hold ESC to get to the Boot option menu.

Unfortunately, the boot menu only shows "Windows Boot Manager (P0: WDC.............) " Obviously the hard disk and
"Enter Setup"

The external hard disk was plugged in from the beginning and yes, USB legacy support was enabled.

I am totally stuck.
Can anybody help?

An old and known problem.
Disable secure boot in the bios and retry.

ASKER

I found the secure boot setting in the security menu.

Now another interesting phenomena shows up.

I can see and boot from a regular Windows install DVD, but I can not see any of my utility disks (CDs) based on portable windows or Linux!?!? These disks boot without problem on WIndows 7 computers.

Has anybody got any ideas?
