I found the secure boot setting in the security menu.<br />

Now another interesting phenomena shows up.<br />

I can see and boot from a regular Windows install DVD, but I can not see any of my utility disks (CDs) based on portable windows or Linux!?!? These disks boot without problem on WIndows 7 computers.<br />

Has anybody got any ideas?<br />

One of my customers have lost her password to her ASUS UX32a Notebookl.<br />

I ususally use Acronix Spower password reset program on a CD to reset local password.<br />
<br />
The issue here is that I can not get the UX32 to boot from the external CD. I get into the BIOS (Tricky in itself) and set the fast boot option to disabled.<br />
<br />
Thereafter I press F10 to save and restart and immediately press and hold ESC to get to the Boot option menu.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, the boot menu only shows &quot;Windows Boot Manager (P0: WDC.............) &quot;&nbsp;Obviously the hard disk and<br />
&quot;Enter Setup&quot;<br />
<br />
The external hard disk was plugged in from the beginning and yes, USB legacy support was enabled.<br />
