Since your laptop is NOT COMPATIBLE with Windows 10, maybe this is reason why Windows 10 audio driver is not working correctly
Please try install Driver for Windows 8.1 manually

I believe the hardware of the laptop is what is not compatible, since I am on a different hardware what does it make a difference?
The install failed

Audio adapter is on motherboard so if you have original motherboard then your audio is not compatible with Windows 10.
If you have different MB, then the question is what kind ?
You can run Aida64Extreme. (If you don't have I can give you on private) and check what MB model you have.
Did you try drivers I've sent you ?
