SharePoint 2013 List with Ratings

I have inherited a SharePoint 2013 Site with a list that has ratings enabled. It "used to show" a ratings control with stars where you can rate a list item.

Suddenly, the stars are gone and have been replaced with a slider control. I am the only developer on this site, and haven't added a slider control.

The only updates I have made to the site are to use some jQuery to modify some text and button color and to add a tooltip popup that uses jQuery and Bootstrap.

Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried creating a test list with ratings to see what happens? If possible, disable your custom jQuery on that test list. If the problem doesn't occur on the test list, enable your custom jQuery. If the problem still doesn't happen on the test list, you know it's something else.

One other idea is to look at the ratings controls available in the page layout. There's more on that here

The odd thing is that the ratings looks and works fine on my Desktop. My PC is outside the company infrastructure. I wonder if and what policies they might have pushed to cause this.
