Shipping power banks using US Postal Service

I know eBay & even Amazon (from USA) ships power banks to Asia.

About 1.5 years back, a US dealer shipped Hyperjuice powerbanks to me via
low-cost USPS

Q1:
Does USPS still do this or power banks is now a forbidden item?  Or eBay merchants
declare the goods as something else & still manage to ship through?

Q2:
Anyone know if there's a nearby post office (say within 1 km) to
PARC 55 WYNDHAM HOTEL
at UNION SQUARE SFO
55 CYRIL MAGNIN ST
or we can request the hotel to arrange to ship via USPS for us without making a trip to
the post office?

Appreciated inputs from anyone familiar with this.  I don't need a guaranteed delivery
shipping nor one with perfect tracking : the items don't cost much (about US$50) so
I'm looking at shipping cost of US$30 for the 2pcs of powerbanks

To send via US Postal Service, must we go to a post office to do it?

Is there any nearby (within 1km) post office around 55 Cyril Magnin Street?

Thanks very much Jackie : found 2 more post offices nearby : refer to attached, correct
me if I got them wrong (curious what's  Macy's  post office).

Based on David Johnson's reply of  8 cells / 2 batteries, does this mean for
"Intocircuit PC26000" (shown in amazon.com), I can only ship 2 pcs per
USPS package ?

Just use Google map and you can find any location nearby.

correct me if I got them wrong (curious what's  Macy's  post office).

It is a self-service location and do not waste your time to go there as you need a human to handle your postage

Bear with me,  for the 1st map that I attach, it's a self-service kiosk.

is the 2nd map that I attach above a self-service kiosk or an actual post office?
Understand what you've given is an actual post office, just that it's 900m away
& am hoping there's a nearer one to Parc55 hotel

Thanks v much Jackie.

So have to do it at Macy's self-help kiosk : put into a box, paste a sticker
with destination address, put a postage stamp & drop in the machine
at the kiosk?

So either the  post office in the map you attach or the 1st map that
I attach are the right ones to go to?
it is not just a self service location from usps.com which means that there is a human at that post office.
what you need is to go to macys station post office within the hour below.

Lobby Hours
Monday - Saturday:10:00am - 5:00pm
1st map that you attach are the right ones to go to.
you need a staff from post office to put on a special label for lithium battery package.
Simple way to go about this: Amazon usually ships USPS. Whatever you receive from them via USPS is what you can ship anywhere via USPS.

We went through this fiasco ourselves trying to get a set of 50K mAh batteries to us here in Canada from San Francisco. Air was out of the question. They had to come via ground.

There are two types: Rechargable and non-rechargeable. Of course, the materials handling sheet provided by the vendor indicated the wrong type. So, we ended up having the boxes shipped by USPS Ground since there were few restrictions using that method.

Thanks.   Amazon indicate they dont ship to the Asian country tt I live in.

One dealer in eBay charges usps us$97 for 1 power bnk n us$160 for 2pcs via usps priority n wont go for low cost usps shipping;  a relative is flying there so I m shippg it to his hotel in the usa n then he ship it via lowcost usps to asia

Dont think he is allowed to carry power banks (incl cargo for luggage) up the passenger plane or is he allowed?  At most 1pc?

The power banks tt I got in Asia to power laptops are simply overpriced while Intocircuit pc26000 is now retailing for us25 per pc only
Any update?
