How to format a date field in an expression within a query in Access 2010

Does anyone know how I can format the below [Start Date] to a long date?

Employment start date: "1.1. Your employment will commence on " & [Start Date] & "."

Just to add, Lilly take a look at the on-line help for the format command or use this as a start:

Format() is used for all kinds of things such as dates, times, dollar values, numbers, generating literal characters, yes/no values, etc.  For numbers, It mas multiple sections so you can specify formats for positive numbers, negative numbers, format to use when zero, etc.
