Why can't I get my report to SORT correctly?
I can't get the "Phone List" report to sort correctly. The phone numbers (Cell and Emergency) are reviersed.
I have tried to adjust the query that id used to populate the report, but still does not work.
Please find the DB and two screen shots of the report.

Sorting (and grouping) needs to be done in the report. look for the sorting and grouping icon on the ribbon.
Any sorting in the query is ignored by the report. The report needs to know how the data is sorted so it can carry out function like group headers and footers. When the sorting is done in the query, it can't do that.
