How Can I Open Ports on Windows 2008 machine Running Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1?

Working with a Windows Server 2008 r2 Production machine, I'm attempting to customize an FTP site that uses a non-traditional port. For the sake of argument, it's going to be a passive FTP site using Ports 5000 to 5020.

Knee-deep into this I realized that Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 is installed on this machine. This over-rides the Windows Firewall settings, which would allow me to let the inbound traffic in.

I've scoured everywhere for applicable documentation for this unmanaged client.

Does anyone here have, or know of, a good set of directions to open up those ports so that SEP will let these through?

Thanks for your help!

Okay, thanks for that. So, in my case it's an unmanaged client and firewall isn't an option. It turns out that all the servers, while on the same network, all have unmanaged client on them. Thanks for your help.
The Unmanaged Client that is on this 2k8r2 server does not have the Firewall option installed. I wouldn't be able to change any ports using SEP. Thanks!
