Office 365 for Voice - RTP Pathing
When you use Office 365 for voice - I imagine your call setup is all done via client conversation to the MS PBX in their public cloud. But say you want to talk to someone in your own office a few doors down.. Do the real time packets flow to the MS cloud and then to your peer? Or would RTP flow straight from your client software to their client software over your LAN? And what if you want to talk to a co-worker in another city? Can O365 inform your client software to communicate directly between yourselves over the WAN? Or does RTP flow to the cloud and then out to the peer in the other city?
