DHCP server

I am currently updating my server to windows 2016 with exchange 2016 I have a domain but I was wondering would it be better to have the router serve as my DHCP server rather than having that operation on the windows 2016?

can I run exchange and windows server on the same machine?
If nothing else (like SQL) you can run AD, DC and Exchange on one server. I assume this is a small business.

I have been told that I couldn't, but it doesn't make sense since I have been running exchange and windows 2008 server on the same machine without issues, that's why I was asking about the router DHCP.

Yes small business with a big heart, lol, thank you for the clarification John, Merry Christmas
Thanks and same to you!   For a small business with few employees, and budget for one server, you can do this. Recommendation is always for 2 servers, but that adds cost.
