does apple tv go on low power screen saver mode
It is not likely, but on the other hand, the large screen uses power, so better turned off when not in use.

All electrical equipment have a chance catching fire when left on (this should not be a question for you...).

IS apple tv powered through apple tv powered through television????
If you are talking about the Apple Server, it is likely powered separately.
Apple TV boxes have their own external powersupply which you plug into the mains supply.
What Apple TV do you have? You should have 2 cables, one HDMI to your display and one power chord. It is powered through the power chord.

If you have no Apple Server and just Apple TV, it is a high quality consumer appliance that will run "forever" at normal room temperature.
