Microsoft 365 versus MicroSoft 2013/2016

Trying to find a good review (personal experiences with both products) on people who have gone from a stand alone Office suite (Office 2010/2013/2016) to a more cloud based suite (Office 365). What is the best way to go.

Does it make sure scalability wise? Flexibility wise? Monthly Price wise? We currently have a ISP that delivers 10 MB to the office. We are also looking at an ISP that claims to deliver 50 MB.

So any personal experience with either or moving from one to another would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Both has its own pros and cons.

O365 product is based on subscription, every month or year you need to renew.

Office 2016 standalone  product is perpetual one time fees if you buy OEM edition and you can use it until you want, also if you want free upgrade in future then you need to buy standard or enterprise in VLS (volume licensing site) so that you can perform free upgrade to latest version.
I have support experience for both products and I assume that you want the MS Office software only and not interested in Exchange online service from Office 365.

My office only buy volume licence MS Office but my friends think that Office 365 is better in value for money.

Office 365 licence is good if the user has multiple devices and all devices can share 1TB OneDrive online storage which can be accessed among all devices of the user but the drawback is the user has to renew and pay for licence on annual basis.

Yes sorry I meant to say Office 2010/2013/2016 but everyone seems to pick up on that mistake. Lee W and others. I see so many pros for the the office 365 version however the only draw back is that its a monthly cost which can get expense over time with a lot of users versus a upfront capital cost. We only have about 30 PC users at our company.

I know you can have up to 5 devices on one single license however how does that work? Currently we have 5 licenses of Office 2013 on 5 machines however it has the same user login name. Could I buy 1 license of Office 365 (apply the max 5 instances) on all 5 machines and those users would be covered.

What template or model did everyone else use?

Thanks in advance!
Licensing is per HUMAN BEING, not per Login account.  Whether the system appears to allow you to do it by login is irrelevant - In an audit, you would be in violation.  Count the number of human beings in your organization who need access to Office - then you need a license for each one.

Office365 or otherwise.
If it is a home environment, you can max the machine count to five using family sharing.
