How To Run a Desktop Icon That Will Open Windows Explorer To Desired Directory
Hello Experts -
I'm constantly going to Windows Explorer in Windows 7, getting the thing to open, and then negotiate a couple of directories to get where I want to go. I think it would be a lot easier if I set up a desktop icon to do that for me.
The requirements is that I stay in Windows Explorer. Going to DOS for a conventional CD C:\ etc. is not the desired outcome.
Maybe there is some kind of script I could write and run. Or, possibly explorer.exe accepts parameters.
Does anyone know the best approach before I burn up an afternoon trying to get this thing to work.
Let's assume I'm trying to get "C:\Financials\Current\Exp enses\" from the desktop.
Thanks.

You can put a shortcut to any folder on your desktop to open to a desired location. I do this all the time.
