I would recommend a solution either to integrate all the separate ERP into single one. My opinion is to go for standard ERP product which you can integrate. All the POS systems should be integrated to the mail store ERP system. So any wastage, expiry will be having an inventory on a finger tip. The customization of ERP also can improve before the product expire it can give alerts to inform the supplier if it can be replaced.

what is standard stock count practice  . weekly or monthly or year end  ?
Depends on the product.

for example : medicines it can be monthly, so you can set an alert mechanism in the ERP for the expiry date and alert you before.

For perishable items : You need to set it for daily checks

For items like household items (electronic) : monthly or weekly will do fine.

Its all depends on the requirement and based on the policy of company.
