MacMini + macOS sierra will not display video on startup

I have MacMini [TopQuark]+ 2 Dell displays with macOS SIerra which starts with no display on either monitor. I can see HD folders [Sharepoints]  on other macOS on same LAN - cannot open. Cursor OK - no other mouse actions.

Other LAN mac [Baryon] returns item... 'cannot be found' when opening TopQuark folder from 'Go Computer'.

Apple & progress bar are visible to startup completion - then dark screens.

Tried 3 steps here - http://osxdaily.com/2014/11/22/fix-macbook-pro-booting-black-screen/ - no go...

Tried this - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5984310?tstart=0 - was able to logon with visible display, then after couple seconds, dark displays again.

Also tried 1 or other displays separately - no go.

Gmail incoming message popups appear on otherwise dark screen.

Your suggestion got me started - further web search led me to Apple Support which, surprising;y, answered the phone at once. There followed a series of phone discussions and scheduled and on-time callbacks from increasingly knowledgeable technical folks.

The decision was made, after several experiments, using safe and recovery modes and power cycling, we agreed that the MacMini was defective and needed to be replaced.

Needless to say, I was much pleased with Apple support - and yours!
