Can't edit data in PowerPoint 2013
I have a couple of slides in a power point presentation that do nothing when I click on the Edit Data while others work just fine. If I'm on one of the charts that will not allow me to edit the data, and I click on the Chart Elements - Data Table, it will add data into the diagram so it has the data there but I need a way to edit and add data to the existing data.

Interesting question. @Echo, is there no way to re-establish the link if the original Excel file can be located?
Oh, yes, if you can locate the original file and put it in the same location, you should be able to edit the data as usual.
If you have linked objects in your file, you can click the File tab, then Info, and then Edit Links to Files (down in the lower right of the Info tab). If you don't (even if they are broken) have any links, you won't see any Edit Links to Files option.
The file would have to be named the same and put into the same file path, so if it was created on someone's desktop, then it may be difficult to re-route to the Excel file on your system. However, you should try the Change Source button in the edit links dialog and point to the data file, because sometimes it actually does work!
Thanks for the prompt, Jamie. I'm sure you knew this already, and I should have thought to mention it.

Actually, I didn't know that Echo! But I did know that if there was anything to know about Excel inside PowerPoint then you would know!
LOL! You have way too much faith. :-)
To add one last comment to clarify this poorly worded statement ... If you don't (even if they are broken) have any links, you won't see any Edit Links to Files option.
What I mean here is, if you don't have links in your file, you will not see the Edit Links to Files option. But if you do have links, even if they are broken links, then you will see that Edit Links to Files option.
And now I think I can be done babbling on about this one! :-) Thanks for your patience, guys.
