Microsoft Surface -- Factory Reset ?
I just now got a Microsoft Surface back from a remote sale rep we fired, but have NO idea what the password is since this sales rep purchase on his own, I did not setup the LOCAL account and it is NOT on the domain
I tried doing the below to reset the Surface without logging in, but it does not seem to work
1. Attach your Touch Cover / Type Cover
2. Power on your Surface
3. Press and hold the Left Shift key at the Login screen
4. Press the Power icon
5. Press Restart
Your surface should boot to a light blue screen with some options on it
1. Click on Troubleshoot
2. Click on Reset your PC
3. Follow the prompts
Any ideas on how to reset ?

What model of Surface?
ASKER
It just says "Windows 8 Pro, 256 GB" on the back panel --> is there somewhere else I should check ?
To reinstall it, use my 2nd link. To regain access, use both my links.
