PDF does not render data correctly when opening from IOS mail app

We have several users that get reports emailed to them from a a business system we use.  I have gotten many calls over the last two weeks that when they open the PDF attachment within the IOS mail app it does not show the data.  For example:  the PDF might have blue borders around the fields but the data does not show up.  I have attached two files.  One shows the PDF file within the mail app in IOS and the other is opening the file from the Adobe app on the phone.  I have no idea why this started happening.  The PDF can be viewed fine in the Adobe app on the IOS device and also if they open it on a PC using Outlook that would open it using the desktop version of Adobe reader.  Any suggestions?

Get the free Adobe Reader for iPhone / iPad and install it on one machine and test it. I  use this and do not have issues with PDF files in my email.

I have the Adobe app but I can't see where I can setup the mail app to use the Adobe app to display the PDF.  I can sent the attachment to the Adobe app but it is extra steps that the user has to do in order to view the PDF.
I will check again but there should be a Share icon at the top and Adobe is one of the selections.
I just opened an email on my iPhone IOS 10.2 machine and the PDF file showed in the email. I clicked on it and it opened properly. I do not think it actually needed Adobe even though Adobe is installed.
That is my issue.  Mine opens in the mail app but it's missing the data.  Its basically blank.  If I open it from the Adobe app itself it displays correctly.  It also displays correctly on a PC.
I have no issue at all. You might wish to take on phone (device), back it up with iTunes and do a factory reset. Then restore it and see if that fixes it. You may have some software interfering.
It happens on every iPhone we have, which is about 100.
Did you install something that is conflicting?

As as noted, take one phone, rebuild it and check to see if that helps isolate the issue.
I tried that on my phone and same issue.

There is nothing wrong with IOS, IOS Mail, or Adobe PDF for IOS.

So it would appear then that the PDF created by the business system has not been created properly.

As a test, get someone to email you a PDF NOT from the business system. Does this work?
Why does the PDF display correctly when viewing it in an email from Outlook, for example.  If the PDF would be corrupt, it would not display correctly anywhere.
