Twitter profile picture

My Twitter page (@alandewitt3) has a big photo on top, but I can't get a photo into the little square for the profile picture.
I've checked size and resolution, etc., and I've tried different photos. I can't find any "Help" for Twitter.
Every time I try to upload a profile photo, it seems to work, but doesn't 'stick'. The photo appears, I crop it and position it, and save changes, and then I get a message that it's been successfully saved - but it never appears in the square on the left of the page - it's still blank.

Maybe I should have mentioned I have Windows 7 and MS Office 365, if that matters.
How big is the photo?  The one here (my Profile) is 300 KB.  I use a photo editor to reduce it until it fit. Try reducing (and even cropping)  a photo in a picture editor. Irfanview (free) can do this.

What file type is the photo?
What browser are you using?
What antivirus do you have?
Do you have any ad blocker extensions being used on the browser?
Type: jpeg, size:400X400, cookies allowed. antivirus is from MS, browser is internet explorer.
Still nothing works.
Try making a new small photo from the first photo (copy, paste, edit) and save as a new name. The photo does not seem to be too big, so something else appears to be wrong.

Thank you. I will try MS Edge. (Never heard of it before.)
Thanks! The problem was with my internet explorer, which came with my windows 7.
I just tried Mozilla Firefox and was finally able to get the profile picture into Twitter.
PTL!
iirc, Edge is only available on Windows 10.  So that's why you wouldn't have it on Windows 7.

Yeah, Google's Chrome is my go to browser, but Firefox is as reliable.  Microsoft basically dumped IE and moved on to Edge.

I am glad you were able to fix the problem.  Have a good one!
