Need BIOS update Linux for MSI X99A motherboard.
I'm Installing Slackware 14.2 on a MSI X99A motherboard with a 6-core i7 and 64G of memory. I have a DVD that came with the motherboard, "Intel Motherboards / Drivers & Utilities." I'd like to run an update on the BIOS but the DVD appears to be strictly for Windows. I have no Windows partition. I do have a Windows VM running on this setup.
This link: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...nux_bios&num=1 seems to indicate that I can updated the bios from Linux. Unfortunately, the author just writes, "hooray! I can update the BIOS from Linux!", but doesn't tell where to get the utility (that I can tell) nor how to install/use it.
Is there a way to update this MB BIOS from Linux?
