Network connections wi-fi configuration issue

Hi, I have a notebook with Windows 10 which has never had a problem connecting to the internet.  I only use it when I travel and I put it up after my last trip and now it will not connect to the internet.  When I click on the airplane at lower right, I select wi-fi and it shows me all the available connections, I select mine and after checking, it says not connected.

I ran a Trouble shooting Microsoft program to see what the problem is and it FOUND PROBLEM: "wi-fi does't have a valid IP configuration". - Not fixed.

How do I re-configure it?
Thanks

Seems it is not getting IP from DHCP. Assign a static IP according to your router's DHCP scope and connect to your router to check DHCP configuration.

Update, now when I scroll over the wi-fi it says no internet access and the icon has a yellow caution icon .  I have never messed with the router.  Are there instructions somewhere here on how to go about doing this?

Sorry, should have told you what router I have.  Netgear Nighthawk X4 R7500v2.  Okay, I will restart router.

Thank God.  I restarted the router as well as the notebook and all is back to normal again.  Thank you all so much.
Glad it worked
