Virtualization hosts with large amounts of GPU memory

I just ran into an issue where VirtualBox only supports up to 256MB of virtual GPU memory. Is there an alternative Virtualization host which supports more GPU memory without using PCI passthrough? The host has to be able to run from Linux, Windows, and OSX.

Thanks. Are there similar options in a free vmware version? Also thanks for the screenshot, I appreciate seeing it.

Virtualbox xml files can be edited, but the max value for graphics memory that the program supports is 256MB, even editing the xml file.

The issue I am running into is that 4k resolution on a Linux guest with Windows host is going slowly without more memory.

I would run a passthrough but this is my only GPU and last I heard I needed to passthrough an entire card.
if using VMware Player for non-commercial, e.g. personal use only.

Option exists in VMware Player
