Using cipher to decrypt files.
I have a set of files that I am looking to use cipher to decrypt. These files were created using the Windows default “Encrypt contents to secure data” option under the Advanced Attributes of a file Properties. These files are from a different computer and active directory network.
I have the user name and password from the system that created the these files.
With the cipher command and the original login, is it possible for me to decrypt these files? If so, an example would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if I need more detail from the source computer, I can get it.

Thanks for sharing. Private keys are exportable if they are generated to allow exportability in the first place.
You need to add data recovery agent (DRA) to you CA or export EFS user certificate from source computer and import it
