2 Gateways (bandwidth) - One domain

Hi,

I want to setup our Marketing Folks with their own t-1 to split traffic from current LAN.  I also need for them to access current LAN for email, domain logon, etc.  Would it be possible to connect two SonicWAll UTMs with different T-1s and route the traffic?

Thanks so much.

What are you available options for connectivity? I'd be more in favor of getting a faster internet connection for all than bringing in an additional T1 because of one department.

I opted for the separate T-1 as the marketing folks will use up whatever bandwidth is available with their social media postings and drop box postings.  It seemed easier than setting up QOS and the LAN currently has policies in affect that disallows access to these sites (I did not want to admin user exceptions)
Upgrading the connection actually would be far more beneficial. You would not need to change any sort of LAN policies. Put in perspective that a T1 is roughly 1.5 Mbps each way.

I don't know where you're located, so I don't know what your options are... but there are a number of places where you can get either cable, fiber, or DSL connections that are considerably faster for a lower cost than a T1. In some cases, I've also found lower cost fixed wireless services that were considerably faster than a T1 for a better cost.
SonicWALL's advanced bandwidth management will help you stop the marketing folks from eating up all the bandwidth ;)
All very good options for me to consider...I could not decide, but as I was already leaning towards a separate tunnel I chose possible solutions of JSppor and Lee W.

Thank you so much, this was very helpful
