sql_mode
I want the default sql_mode to be set to nothing. When I change it and restart mysql the setting reverts.
mysql> SELECT @@sql_mode;
+------------------------- ---------- ---------+
@@sql_mode
+------------------------- ---------- ---------+
STRICT_TRANS_TABLES,NO_ENG INE_SUBSTI TUTION
+------------------------- ---------- ---------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)
mysql> SET sql_mode='';
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
mysql> SELECT @@sql_mode;
+------------+
@@sql_mode
+------------+

+------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)
But after a restart it is back to "STRICT_TRANS_TABLES,NO_EN GINE_SUBST ITUTION"
mysql> SELECT @@sql_mode;
