ESXi 6 VMkernel network
Hello,
I am setting up a VMware cluster running ESXi6. I have 6 network cables going into each ESXi6 host in 3 pairs for redundancy. The first pair is on the management network for accessing the hosts, I have a second pair for the VM network, and the third pair is on a non routable ipv4 network that I was given for vm kernel vmotion.
Is it OK that the vm kernel network has no gateway? I understand it is not routable, but how will the hosts identify each other on that VM kernel network?
Thank you
