Windows Server 2008 R2 will not open SERVICES.MSC and will not allow remote connections
I have a new installation of Windows Server 2008 R2. It is being used as a Domain Controller and a DNS server. Remote access was working a day ago in which I could remote into this server from a Windows client that was in the same Domain as the server. The next day when I tried to remote into this server exactly like I did yesterday, it would not allow me to remote in. In looking at the server Remote Access is enabled and set up even for less secure access. I then tried to run SERVICES.MSC and got the message "MMC could not create the snap in. The snap in might not have installed correctly. Services CLSID:{58221C66-EA27-11CF- ADCF-00AA0 0A80033}.
I was having problems installing Windows Updates a couple of days earlier and was requested by Microsoft to reformat the server and proceed to install Windows Updates again. This was done and accomplished with success. Thanks.

Are you sure it was MS who requested you reformat and reinstall and that you weren't a phishing victim? If you reformatted the drive then you woudl ahve to reinstall Server 2008 all over again or am I missing something here?
