I have a home network with a netgear nighthawk router, two laptops and and two desktops. The desktops are wired. The two laptops are wireless. There is a hard drive connected to the router as well as a Western Digital MyLiveDuo. The desktops can see all devices. Laptop A can see all devices including the TV but laptop B can only see the desktops but not connect with them. I need to be able to back up from laptop B to the hard drive connected to the router. The desktops are Win 10 and Win 7, Laptop A is Win 7, laptop B is win10.
Any ideas please.

Make sure network discover is ON and Laptop B is a member of same Home Group and network type is Home, not public network and in Windows Firewall Network And Printer Sharing ICMP is allowed for Home network in Outgoing and incoming rules.

I've drilled down in Win 10 and made sure discovery is on. The network is private and I'm using Kaspersky internet security and not Windows Firewall.  There's no home group so I'll tackle that next.
LVL 11 I've set up a home group and the other computers can now be seen and accessed but the drive on the router cannot. I'll sort that out and count this as a success.

Not a total solution but close enough to enable me to look further.
