Firewall report connections

Hi

Could you helpe me to understand something please.

How is possible that over one week my network at work made 16,355 connections?

For example 1969 widnows update connections how is possible that 17 computer on my network made that kind of amount during one week ?

My understanding is I download windows update I make one connection.

Please could you help me here ?

This is misleading, this looks like a chart that is over a period of time. However, if you're talking about Windows Updates, you make a connection for every file you download at a minimum. That will be far more than one. There would also be the connection just check the Microsoft databasse for updates that are needed. I'm assuming that you were on the internet during the timeframe covered too. Each graphic and website element requires a connection.  I don't know what the fe100.net addresses are for, but I see that it is a dynamic DNS service, which is most likely utilized by a site you were visiting. To the user, things seem like only one connection, but in networking, it actually requires many connnections to complete a task.

actually I am trying to figure it our what is the e100net...
e100.net is Google Content Delivery Network
