Managing Email size limits in Exchange 2010 SP3
Hello Experts,
We have Exchange 2010 SP3 in our env. We have 20MB E-mail limit on all our Send connectors, and receive connectors. However, I see many users have E-mails more then 50 MB in their mailboxes. These E-mails are internal. I tested myself, and I was able to send an and receive Internal E-mail that was 50 MB. We have not limit on our Global Transport Settings. I'm a little confused. even if we have no limit on the global transport setting, shouldn't the receive connector automatically reject E-mails greater then 20MB. how did they get through. When i set the 20 MB limit on the global transport Setting, then it worked, and it started rejecting internal E-mails that were greater then 20 MB...WHY???
