@McKnife, you are right. Thank you. &quot;windows update&quot; was not enabled in my pc. After I enabled it, I can install &quot;Universal C Runtime&quot;. However my final purpose is to install &quot;gns high version&quot; in my pc. Why i still get the same message which means &quot;Universal C Runtime&quot; is needed to install when i am installing &quot;gns high version&quot; ? The error message is same as attached picture in the above post

Hi "Universal C Runtime " is needed to install in Win8 due to installation of an application. But i got an error message during the installation. Please see the attached picture. Anyone can give some suggestions? Thank you
