error when running startx on CentOS7
Hi,
I installed GNOME desktop on CentOS7 server and it used to work fine. But all of a sudden, I can't run desktop. Whenever I run "startx" to launch GNOME desktop. Here is the full error message. Can you help?

My programmer did something (with regards to permissions perhaps) and it is working now.
Next time think before giving away root account.

uhh ohh so I rest the case... close the issue as you solved it.

The solution was found by someone outside EE board.
ASKER
I just ran startx from the console again and this is what happened.
First, I saw the graphics screen "Oh no! Something has gone wrong" with [Log Out] button.
Second, when I clicked [Log Out] button, GNOME desktop screen flashed and took me back to the root prompt.
So the message about "EGL_MESA_drm_image required" makes sense. It can't keep GNOME desktop screen up on the screen.
I am not a Linux person. How do I begin troubleshooting this issue?
