Apptamin's post contains solid solutions for recording iPhone using Mac. But if you only have your iPhone then installing some screen recording apps from third-party sources is the best workaround I've known. They only need a few steps to have them installed on your phone. The downside is sometimes their's certificate get revoked and temporarily not available to install.
