SMTP ReturnPath address for forwarded messages does not match the mailbox's ReplyTo address.

Using Exchange Server 2010, I setup a Journaling mailbox to receive Journal Reports for all mailboxes residing in a specific mailbox database.  The journaling mailbox also has forwarding to an external address which is setup as a contact and the message is delivered to both the forwarding address and the mailbox.  Message tracking shows that messages forwarded from the journal mailbox is being sent out of the organization to the external address but the ReturnPath address on each step of the way is not the Replyto address on the journal mailbox.  The address is for one of the IT Admins in the organization.  How do I identify where the ReturnPath address is coming from and how to I fix it to reflect the correct address in the event of an NDR?
