Difference bet. 3G v 4G RAM on Win7 32-bit
I have an old slow PC with 3G RAM and Win7 32-bit installed.
As I understand it, 32-bit OS can only use 3G but I also hear the on-board video uses some of that RAM SO the question is: If I swap out the 1G strip and install a 2G strip for a total of 4G can the on-board video access the extra 1G leaving a full 3G just for the OS?
The 2G strip costs about $20 plus the time to install.
Does anyone expect any appreciable performance gain? or would it be so small to non-existent that it wouldn't be worth it?
Thanks
