Exchange 2010: Outlook client disconnected after power outage.
Hi All,
We had a power outage yesterday which resulted in everything shutting down uncleanly.
Everything is back online and working, except email.
Both mobile (via active sync) and the Outlook client aren't getting any email. Outlook says "disconnected"
Everything seems fine on single exchange 2010 server.
I've tried rebooting without any luck.
Bizzarly when the servers all came back online both domain controllers needed a reboot to get them working properly.
Also, the dns record for the exchange server host name had disappeared. I guess it was dynamicly added. So I entered a static a record.
Any suggestion on what I can check?
Many thanks

Sorry for the delay. I logged it as a Severity A with Microsoft.
It was logged as a dirty shutdown. They said some of the log files were missing and some corrupt.
It's just running through a
It's up to MSysLocales. There no time indicator on this one. any idea how long it takes, or how many more stages. we kicked it off around 5 hours ago.
Also, I have noticed there are several errors being logged where the server is still trying to mount the database. The event logged are below. Is this normal? Event ID's below.

The repair finished before I had the chance to stop the service. My outlook clients status says connected, but it can't send or recieve email.
In the log it's complaining about being unable to mount a public folder database, and outdated or corrupt active sync device partnership.

I've checked the box to say the database can be overwritten by a restore and mounted it.
Now the transport service won't start.
Any ideas?

Sorry for not responding quickly, its been a tough weekend.
I logged a second ticket with Microsoft Premier Support and the renamed the transport.exe to _old and made a new one from the .template.
This fixed the issue.
