Backup and Restore VCenter Linux Appliance methods and scenario best practice ?
Hi All,
I have successfully converted the Windows VMware VCenter Server 5.5 U3 into VCSA 6.0U2.
Previously I'm very familiar with Windows Server and SQL Server database (SQL Standard Edition 2008) that is running in the same VM in terms of backup, upgrade and restore, as well as performance tuning and truncating the transaction logs.
But now since it is now single Linux appliance VM, I do not know how to do:
1. Backup and Restore of the entire VCenter safely without data loss or configuration issue.
2. Performing upgrade of the VCenter to the later version 6.5 and above
3. Backup and Restore the SQL database, performance tuning and also truncating transaction logs in case it is full.
4. Monitoring the disk space and preventing it to filling up.
Note, my Backup software is running Veeam 9.5.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I thought it was an odd comment.
So you are using vPostgres, so see link posted, how to check if appliance is full, and add email address so it can be monitored.
and follow the post above.

No, the Database has been fully migrated to vPostGre SQL. I'm now unfamiliar and don't know what to do with the VCSA since it is now Linux appliance.
