How To Allow IIS 10 Anonymous Permissions

Greetings:

I have 2 desktop computers and 1 laptop all running Windows 10 Pro. A wired/wireless router allows access between these computers.

I have IIS 10 running on 1 of the desktops. Anonymous access "appears" to be allowed, however, I have overlooked something.

I'm looking for a checklist to ensure I have my ducks lined up to allow anonymous access to any of the defined websites on the computer running IIS from the other 2 computers.

Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Much thanks ... David Bach

Hi David and Elango:

I use G Data Total Security as my anti-virus, firewall software.

There are 2 things I know about myself:
  1. I am not network savvy
  2. I am not firewall savvy

I created a rule under "Trusted Networks" in G Data for inbound traffic limiting the ports from 8001 to 8099 and the IPs to include private IPs only, i.e. 192.168.1.10 to 192.168.1.200.

This seems to do the job.

I hope by creating this rule, traffic not on our local network will be refused.

Much thanks.
