Video disks such as Seagate Pipeline in servers, PCs or NAS boxes.

Seagate provide a wonderful white paper on why I should use a disk designed for video in my DVR:
http://www.seagate.com/files/www-content/product-content/sv35-fam/sv35.5/en-gb/docs/video-vs-desktop-mb645-1-1403gb.pdf

Now since those video disks are so good why shouldn't I put them in my PC and in the servers and NAS boxes I build as well? The Seagate white paper doesn't say anything against using those disks in PCs and servers but I imagine there may be some reason that they would not be suitable.

Can anyone help me find documentation that explains why disks designed for recording video on are unsuitable to use in PCs and servers or indeed convince me that they are indeed suitable for general purpose please.
