Best way to migrate data from old Fibre Channel Storage Array to new FC Storage Array?
Hi all, currently I'm using the IBM DS3400 storage array with 2 controllers connected to 2 separate IBM San Fabric switches. I have just purchased a IBM v3700 storage array and need to migrate the data over using the migration wizard. May I know how do I zone 2 storage array together so that both can "see" each other? Do I cable the new Storage array to the SAN fabric switch and treat the IBM v3700 as "host" and zone the controllers of the current storage array to the new storage? I'm only using the array to host VMWARE DataStore.
Example
I) oldCONTROLLER1_newCONTROLL ER1
ii) oldCONTROLLER2_newCONTROLL ER2
Does the migration copy the data from the old array to the new array or data will be cut across leaving the old array empty?

Excellent advices.
sorry I wasn't free, I already have a job.. ;-)
+1 with last expert comment, better go with a one-on-one zoning type. But I think it depends for each array.

Currently I have this zoned
I) Blade1_CTRLA_1
ii) Blade 1_CTRLB_1
For the new config, do I just add in the new controller to the existing zone?
