Mac users not seeing updated files on web site

I host a web site in-house using IIS (8.0).  There are spreadsheets and PDFs available for download from this web site.  Because the data being reported in these files is very fluid, the files are automatically updated every 15 minutes.  My clients using smartphones (iPhones and Android), and Windows (PC) have no problem downloading and/or viewing the latest files.  However, a number of my clients using Macs are not seeing the updated files for hours - sometimes up to 24 hours.  This is driving them (and me) nuts.  These Mac users are obviously seeing cached files rather than the latest version.  Telling my clients to constantly clear their cache is not an acceptable answer.  Is there some setting in IIS that can force the latest files to be downloaded?  Is there something my Mac users should change on their end?

Is this happening on all browsers, or just Safari?  They do this to "speed up" the internet.  Maybe try a different browser such as chrome or firefox?
